Phew!....after a gap of 7 years, am back to my blog that I had created and forgotten.
Thanks to an article on Digital Marketing that I read, I was forced to search the blogosphere and retrieve it. And that reminded me of the recent English flick that I saw - Interstellar!
These 7 years of absence seems to me as just a day given the speed at which time is flying. Memories of Indian victory at World Cup at Wankhede seems like it happened the day before and the next edition of World Cup is already round the corner!
Coming back to Interstellar, I think it was a stellar effort at the producer's end for all the special effects in the film. I found the movie visually stunning, intriguing and had its few edge-of-the-seat moments. The last half hour of the movie set me thinking about some of the superstitions that few Indians have, especially the belief of 'omens'. Be it a cat crossing the path, a crow crowing at the window, milk boiling over, someone sneezing before you leave the house etc; these random acts are looked upon as 'signs' warning/informing us about something.
The scene in which Cooper tries to communicate with his daughter Murph through the book-shelf, set me thinking if our ancestors too are trying to tell us something through these 'omens'. So the next time a cat crosses your path or a man's sneeze takes you back few steps, think about the possible message being relayed to you. But please, don't Kill the Messenger. Now, that's a different movie altogether!
